With an investment of $2 million, Greenersys is operating a showroom in Costa Rica to market products like wind turbines, solar heaters, LED screens and electric vehicles.

The franchise Greneersys started operations in Costa Rica on Wednesday March 21st, when it opened its showroom in La Uruca, in which $2 million has been invested.
Wind turbines, solar heaters, lighting and LED screens, and electric vehicles are some of the products on sale, reported Elfinancierocr.com.
"Our company has the ability to offer comprehensive, accessible and personalized items for each client. Our products and services have the ability to lower electricity bills to achieve 100% self-sufficiency," said Philip Koberg, managing partner of Greenersys.
He added that the products on sale come direct from contracts with factories in Asia, Europe and the United States at reasonable prices.
With funds from the International Finance Corporation, Akuo Energy SAS will build a 50 MW wind farm in the Dominican Republic.

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – January 16, 2018— IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, with support from the Government of Canada, has completed an $80million financing package for the construction and operation of a new, grid-connected, 50 megawatt wind farm to help diversify the Dominican Republic’s energy matrix and ease its dependence on imported fossil fuels.
In Costa Rica, 19 projects were selected as "eligible" by the state run power company, but the same institution has ruled out opening new competitions to purchase more wind-generated power.

Investment in alternative energy is risky, because it depends on uncontrollable external factors such as unpredictable weather variations, which have particular effects on hydraulics, solar and wind power.
Two state run Chinese companies and one Costa Rican company have signed a letter of intent to install a solar power plant of 4 MW, in Carrillo, Guanacaste Province.
The Chinese companies, Guoxin Group, a producer of photovoltaic panels and the company Nari Group Corporation, dedicated to power management, have formed a partnership with a Costa Rican group formed by Azucarera El Viejo and the company Greenersys, an equipment supplier. The estimated investment in the project is $10 million.
Cueros Vélez, a production company making leather goods, will invest $8 million in its regional expansion program.
The company plans to enter Panama and Venezuela, which will open its own stores, and the Dominican Republic, where it will implement a franchising model.
As reported by prensa.com, each store represents an investment of about $200,000, and the company plans to enter the United States before 2013.
