China Interested in Trading with Guatemala

The Second Chinese Trade Show will be held from September 3rd to 6th in the "Parque de la Industria".

Infrastructure, electric appliances and electricity companies are among the participants of the show, said Yan Libing, delegation director for the trade show, in an interview with Prensalibre.com.

He added: "we are confident that these shows will expand once there is more knowledge and culture exchange between both nations".

El Salvador to Host Chinese Trade Fair

About 50 companies will participate in China's first international fair in El Salvador.

The fair will take place starting next Sunday and until the 25th at the International Center for Fairs and Conventions (CIFCO).

The country will participate in 21 international fairs specializing in agricultural products, logistics, food, handicrafts and more.

As of October 2011 the value of contracts signed at fairs amounted to $660 million, $34 million more than in the same period in 2010.

Irma Vanessa Chong, general manager of Commercial Missions of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MITI), noted that new destinations have been identified for Panamanian exports (the Nordic countries, Russia, Japan).
