Certification for Tourism in Central America

A promotion exercise is being carried out of the "Best Service" certification in the region in order to improve service and positioning of SMEs in tourism.

In order to improve the service and prestige of small and medium tourism enterprises in the region, the Federation of Tourism Chambers of Central America (FEDECATUR) is promoting the "Best Service" certification.

Sylvia Levy, head of FEDECATUR said, "We are going to promote Best Service in the region, so that all tourist establishments provide quality and take a leap towards being internationally recognized."

"Best Service offers courses on how tourism enterprises can be more profitable and competitive, as well as introducing staff to processes that support their services on offer."

"It's great to have this certification, it shows the quality of a tourism business and makes it recognized worldwide," she added.
