Managers of Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI) said that the shopping centers of Pradera Chimaltenango and Pradera Xela, will be expanded, while that of Pradera Escuintla will be remodeled. Then they will continue with the opening of Pradera Petapa and Pradera Zacapa.

Ricardo González, general director of CMI, told Prensalibre.com that "... it is a strategic innovation plan for the entire chain of shopping centers, in which mixed use is implemented, a necessity given the high traffic in the metropolis."

Gonzalez added that in the case of Pradera Chimaltengo, there will be a "... complete remodeling of diverse spaces."

In March of this year, CentralAmericaData reported that the company Multi-Proyectos began construction of the Pradera Zacapa shopping center, which will have 77 stores, movie theaters, food court area and other amenities, in a total area of 14,800 square meters.

Grupo Agrisal announced that in order to expand the Plaza Mundo shopping center it will invest $7 million in the construction of new infrastructure and remodeling works.

Representatives of the project stated that the investment will include the construction of 4,000 m² and the remodeling 6,000 m². With the extension of the building that is located in the city of Soyapango, department of El Salvador, 40 new stores will be added and with this increase the shopping center will have a total of 400 stores.
