Cervecería Centro Americana Launches Apple Beer

Cervecería Centro Americana of Guatemala launched its Stats apple-flavored beer into the local market.

According to a report in prensalibre.com, Luis Gomez, head of Communications for the company, the new beer "will initially be sold in Guatemala, and then in other countries on the Isthmus" and "it is the first beer of this type produced in this region."

Brewer "Cervecería Costa Rica" will launch a low alcohol beer under the Bremen brand.

The Bremen brand had been previously marketed in Costa Rica by company "Cervecería Americana".

"To create Bremen beer, special malts are mixed when processing", reports Elfinancierocr.com, "[parent company] Florida [Ice & Farm] intends to attract an occasional drinker audience and women looking for low energy beverages (95.5 calories) and a pleasant flavor".

Guatemalan Brewer Invests $3 Million

"Cervecería Centro Americana" inaugurated two new warehouses in the departments of Huehuetenango and Escuintla.

The new facilities will provide employment for 240 people, counting direct and indirect jobs.

"As part of its expansion strategy, the brewer is planning similar projects in Retalhuleu, Cobán, San Marcos and Quiché", reported website Sigloxxi.com.
