Cenosa Cement invested $140 million in Honduras

The inauguration of the new facility, capable of outputting an extra 3.300 tons of cement, is expected for February 24th.

Tiempo.hn publishes in its website: "The setup of this innovative facility, finished a coupe of days ago after two years of work, required an investment of 140 million dollars (some 2.800 million lempiras).
50% of the required investment was done by partners of the company, and the remainder was financed by national and foreign institutions."

$27 million for Steel Plant in Guatemala

With an investment of $27 million, International Ternium has modernized and expanded its steel plant in Villa Nueva.

According to company president, Hector Obeso, "The challenge is that all Central American roofs be manufactured from sheet metal from Guatemala".

Holcim El Salvador Invests $22 Million

Holcim El Salvador, formerly CESSA, will enlarge its Maya production facility, located in the Metapan region.

Thomas Knoepfel, member of Holcim’s global executive committee, explained they have slowed down investment due to the global crisis.

“He also detailed that such investment is in addition to what they invest every year, which is normally around $8 to $10 million, used to buy new machinery, filters and vehicles”, reported Elsalvador.com.

HOPSA Opens 2 Industrial Facilities in Panama

After investing $10 million, the company inaugurated one plant for steel structures and one for dry premixed mortar.

Both facilities are located in Nuevo San Juan, in the province of Colón. They are capable of outputting 600 metrics tons of steel each month and 20 metric tons of mortar per hour.
