'Calvo' Tuna Company Under Investigation in Costa Rica
The Economy Ministry is investigating 'Grupo Calvo' for alleged unfair competition, after a complaint from rival company Sardimar.

Costa Rica's government closed the case after ensuring that Calvo did not incur in dumping affecting the country's tuna industry.

Entrepreneurs in the printing industry are complaining about a bill being studied by the Assembly that would allow the state printer to provide services to third parties generating unfair competition in the sector.
The Commission to Promote Competition in Costa Rica found that to include ISO certification as a requirement to participate in government contracts, violates the principle of free competition.
