Business opportunities for SMEs in Italy

The website "Made in Guatemala" has been created for Guatemalan SMEs to sell their products in Italy.

The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Guatemalan Exporters Association have joined forces and launched the website "Made in Guatemala" on which Guatemalan SMEs may sell their products to Europe, mainly in Italy.

This initiative is starting off with the participation of 65 SMEs in Guatemala. The Central American country exported $104.9 million to Italy in 2011.

The SMEs expect to sell footwear, textiles, manufactured wood products, coffee, cocoa, liquor, fruits, flowers and ornamental plants worth $6.5 million, reported ElPeriodico.com.gt.
