Earthworks and supervision services for the construction of a Maternity Hospital have been awarded by the Ministry of Health.

The schedule of works and services tendered includes earthworks, construction phase one, construction phase two, and monitoring services.
The company Corten, S.A. de C.V. was awarded $970 000 for carrying out the earth works.
The name of the foreign company that won the services for supervision of the construction was not disclosed.
"The cost of the new Maternity Hospital will be $45 million, of this, $35 million will be used for constructing the building and $6 million for supplying it with equipment.
The infrastructure will consist of three buildings that will house the hospital area, outpatients and specialized units. It will have capacity for 150 newborns and 391 beds", reported Laprensagrafica.com
Finally the government of El Salvador has reported the results of the tender for the works on the Diego Hoguin Boulevard.
A statement from the Ministry of Public Works, Transportation and Housing and Urban Development reads:
The Minister of Public Works, Gerson Martinez, reported today ahead of the anticipated date for the award, the winners of the competitive tender for the project to complete the Diego de Holguín Boulevard Segment II, which has been subdivided in Section II-A and Section II-B, and whose order to proceed with work will be given in the next few days.
The Social Security Department has put out to tender again the inspection and control of works on the City Hospital project.
The overall objective of the tender to contract inspection services and supervision of works for the Social Security Department’s 'Ciudad Hospitalaria' (City Hospital) project .
Two Salvadoran companies, a Spanish and an Italian consortium submitted bids this week to build an outpatient area and exterior works at the National Maternity Hospital.
A press release from the Presidency of the Republic of El Salvador reads:
The director of the Hospital Redevelopment Project and Extension of Health Services (RHESSA) Carrmen Moran Reyes, was satisfied by the profile of the companies interested in the work.
A total of six companies submitted bids to conduct soil works for the new maternity hospital.
According to the bidding rules, each company presented three envelopes: one with legal aspects, another with technical specifications and the third with the economic offer.
Carmen Reyes de Morán, from the Health Ministry, explained they expect to sign the contract with the winning company in 75 days.
