In Costa Rica the consortium comprised of Meco and Puentes y Calzadas has been awarded a contract to design and build the definitive access road to the new container terminal in Limón.

From a statement issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport in Costa Rica:
For being the only bid to comply with the technical specifications of the tender, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) and the National Highway Council (CONAVI), awarded last week the design and construction of the works to build the definitive access road to the new Moin Container Terminal (TCM) to Consorcio del Atlántico, made up of the companies Meco and Puentes y Calzadas.
The cost of the project is $71 million.The route already has two lanes in ballast.Two other lanes (for a total of four) need to be constructed, paved, marked and in service on November 30, 2017, a month before the second berth of the TCM starts operating (January 2018).

In Panama, Bagatrac, S.A. was awarded the contract for the rehabilitation and widening of the La Concepción - Cuesta Piedra - Volcán highway, in the province of Chiriquí.
For the contracting process the companies that participated were Puentes y Calzadas Infraestructura S.L.U.
Puentes y Calzadas Infraestructuras S.L.U. was awarded the contract to design and build a vehicular passage and road interchange on the Cabuya roundabout in the Panama province.
On February 5, the resolution of the contracting process for the "Design and Construction of the Paso Vehicular and Intercambiador Vial José Agustín Arango (Cabuya) -CPA- December 24" was published in the portal PanamaCompra."
In the tender to expand a 36-kilometer stretch of road in Panama to six lanes, the consortium formed by FCC Construcción and Operadora CICSA submitted an offer for $543 million, while MECO and Constructora Urbana, offered $624 million.
China Communications Construction Company, LTD also participated in the tender "Extension to six lanes - Corredor de las Playas - Section 1: La Chorrera - Santa Cruz", but its proposal was disqualified for not meeting the minimum required score.
Spanish, Chinese and Costa Rican companies submitted bids for the expansion to four lanes of a 1.7 kilometer stretch of urban road.
The National Roads Authority (Conavi) received six bids for the proposed expansion and renovation of National Route 3, located from the intersection of the factory in Pozuelo Uruca to Jardines del Recuerdo at the Valencia de Heredia.
