Guillermo Rodriguez Mahuad, managing director of Rianxeira, told Prensalibre.com that "... with the expansion of the industrial warehouses the capacity will increase from three thousand tons of fish to five thousand 500 tons of production of loins as of storage."

Rodriguez added that "... there is a request for an increase of raw material in the two presentations: raw, which goes through a process of removing the skin in a production line, and the cooked tuna, which is ready to be packaged."

The $2.5 million investment consisted of expanding the tuna loin production area and the construction of a state-of-the-art refrigerated storage module, said the company's executive.
