Crafts: International Event in Guatemala

Searching for home furnishings, accessories, clothing and gifts, more than 150 local and international buyers will participate in the New World Crafts Fair, to be held in Antigua on September 24 and 25.

AGEXPORT's Handmade Commission prepares for the 12th. Edition of the New World Crafts Fair (NWC), the most important marketing platform for handmade products from Guatemala in the region and one of the main in Latin America, which will take place on September 24 and 25, 2019 at the Hotel Casa Santo Domingo, Antigua Guatemala.

Throughout 12 consecutive years, NWC has become the ideal scenario to promote the brand and products of Guatemalan and Central American companies, designers and entrepreneurs to more than 150 international and national buyers.

Among the international buyers who have confirmed their participation are: wholesalers and retailers of handmade products, museum stores, boutiques, interior decorators, as well as designers from the United States, Canada and Europe, looking for a variety of home furnishings, personal accessories, fashion clothing and gifts.

So far, 65% of the exhibit floor has been sold. If you want to be part of this regional fair, we present some of the benefits of being an exhibitor:

250 international buyers are expected to do business with craftsmen and manufacturing companies in the two trade fairs scheduled for September 26 and 27 in Guatemala.

Trade Mission from Guatemala to Chicago

From November 5 to 9, Guatemalan entrepreneurs from the agricultural and manufacturing sectors will be visiting the US city to explore business opportunities with local buyers.

Representatives from the Guatemalan Association of Exporters (Agexport) reported that the Trade Mission to Chicago is geared towards companies that export fresh and manufactured products geared towards the retail segment. The main objective is the opening and positioning of the Guatemalan exportable supply in the third largest city in the United States, Chicago, in Illinois.  

Trade Mission from Guatemala to Panama

April 2018

From May 21 to 25, Guatemalan entrepreneurs from the manufacturing sector will be visiting Panama to explore business opportunities with Panamanian buyers.

The union of exporters of Guatemala is calling on companies in the manufacturing sector to form part of the Commercial Mission to Panama, anticipated for the days 21 to the 25 of May. 

Manufexport Completes Deals Worth $4 Million

The organizers expect next year's business deals to be worth $50 million.

The 50 participating exhibitors and 57 international buyers held 962 business meetings.

The coordinator of the Guatemalan Exporters’ Association (AGEXPORT), Marco Tulio Recinos, told Sigloxxi.com that, "the event was a success" and added that, "markets were more diversified with 44% of buyers from the US but also representatives from the Dominican Republic and Mexico".
