In relation to the purchase of the new office building, Gabriela Murillo, Infrastructure and Technology manager at the CCSS, explained to Nacion.com that " ... the decision was taken to buy a building in order to stop paying rent, as they currently rent 8,300 square meters of office spaces, scattered around different parts of San José. "

The new building will be occupied while reinforcement works on the Laureano Echandi Building are being carried out. Murillo detailed that by May of next year " ... the CCSS will have to have bought and conditioned the new building in order to move its employees."
