American Airlines makes changes without charge in tickets to Tegucigalpa

Before closing operations at the Tegucigalpa International Airport in Honduras, American Airlines will make changes at no additional charge in passenger reservations with flights to this airport.

The airline said that any passenger with tickets reserved to travel to Tegucigalpa can communicate directly with its service centers to make the changes, given that the Toncontín airport has been closed to international flights.

From November 17th American Airlines will operate a weekly direct flight between Miami and Roatan.

Tourism Minister Nelly Jerez today announced the opening of a nonstop Miami-Roatan air route, expressing satisfaction that this service with American Airlines places the island as a world class destination easily accessible from major airports in the U.S.

American to Operate Direct Flight Costa Rica – New York

February 2010

AA announced on April 6th it will operate a direct flight between JFK Airport in New York and Juan Santamaría Airport in Costa Rica.

Flight 611 will depart from San Jose five times a week, every day except Fridays and Sundays.

It will be operated with Boeing 757 planes, capable of 15 Executive Class passengers and 166 in Tourist Class.

New AA Flight to Nicaragua

November 2011

The airline has opened a new frequency on the route Miami - Managua, making the total of three flights per day.

Juan Manuel Gomez, general manager of the airline in Managua, said that with the new frequency they estimate a 33% increase in passenger numbers from the U.S. to Nicaragua.
