In Costa Rica this trend is already evident. According to representatives of the company Armonia Agricultura Organica Integrada, in this scenario of economic crisis, the company managed to increase its sales.

Jose Andres Aguilar Ellis, administrator of the company, told Nacion.com that "... in the midst of the pandemic, sales increased significantly on the online purchase platform, a system that together with the home delivery service already existed before the sanitary emergency."

Aguilar added that "...'also, as this pandemic issue has been a health issue, people have sought to be more concerned, to take care of themselves, about what they consume, so this has been an opportunity for us'."

According to Armonia's directors, one of the most important challenges of this type of business is to obtain the certifications of the food that is marketed.
