Food Industry: Brazil - Costa Rica Business Roundtable
On April 27 a business meeting will take place in San Jose between Costa Rican businessmen and representatives of the industry of cookies, food doughs, breads and cakes from Brazil.

The business conference will take place on Friday, April 27, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm at the Crowne Corobicí Hotel and is being organized by Crecex in conjunction with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (APEX-Brazil) and the Brazilian Association of the Industries of Biscuits, Food Flours and Breads and Cakes (Abimapi).
Crhoy.com reports that the arrival of six Brazilian companies is expected, including "...Cozzine, specialized in the production of different flavors of fine toast, which can be eaten with pates or used as a base for canapés; NHD Foods is another visitor that sells gluten-free, sugar-free and lactose-free products such as non-transgenic soy snacks and Itamaraty will display waffles, wafers and donuts, among other products."

Discussion forums, advertising and meetings with businesses are part of the efforts that the Business Council of the Pacific Alliance intends to do in Costa Rica.
Arguing that lack of information about the benefits of an eventual accession to the trade bloc is the main reason behind the opposition of some companies, members of the Business Council of the Pacific Alliance (CEAP) announced a plan to promote more, and in a better way, the consequences of joining the Alliance.
A Costa Rican delegation is preparing to see the products offered by the Rep. Dominicana in the fifth Agri Fair 2015 to be held in May in Santo Domingo.
The Caribbean country will also be showing its products to Costa Rica in order to "... promote the interests of Costa Rican importers showcasing the range of products they can offer." Currently fruit production in the Dominican Republic has grown five times more than exports.
Brazilian businessmen will visit the country between August 16th and 20th, looking to promote trade and bilateral investment.
The visit will take place as a stop in a trade tour covering Venezuela, Peru and Panama, and will be headed by the Brazilian Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Miguel Jorge. Each stop will feature business workshops, business tables and meeting with authorities.
