According to representatives of the Guatemalan Association of Exporters (Agexport), companies in the world's main markets that import food are somewhat distrustful of the current health alert.

Maria Ines Valle, an Agexport technical standards and inadmissibility analyst, told Elperiodico.com.gt that "... foreign buyers are asking suppliers to guarantee good practices, and if they have an outbreak of covid-19 they should notify and separate infected collaborators, but that the operation should continue."

Regarding the risk of spread through consumption of imported food, the article explains that "...
