Agrosania Expands Production Plant

The Salvadorian dairy producer has invested $1.5 million over the last three years in the expansion of its facilities.

The investments made by Agroindustrias San Julian, Agrosania, in the expansion of the plant, new machines and improvements to the production process, among others, allowed the company to increase its payroll from 280 to 320 employees over the last year.

With respect to the current global economic crisis, Luis Roberto Fernandez, executive director of Agrosania, commented to Elsalvador.com: “We are evaluating other products that require new technologies, more investments and market perspectives. There is a lot to be done in automation in order to be more productive to our people and be able to grow our productive capacity in other areas and other products.”

In order to increase its production capacity, the processor and marketer of tuna has invested $5 million to improve the operating plant in La Union, El Salvador.

Since its establishment in the country in 2003, the company has expanded its operations and increased exports to over twenty countries.

Cervecería Nacional will invest in expanding its milk processing plant in Chiriqui.

Currently, the plant produces 100.000 daily liters of milk, production which will be increase to 118.000 with the planned investment, including warehouse expansion and improved distribution systems.
