The Ministry of Public Works today held the ceremony for opening the economic proposals for the best value tender for the study, design, partial financing, construction, improvement and extension of the causeway between Monumento a la Bandera and the Entry to Isla Flamenco.
During the event, the price estimated by the Ministry of Public Works was unveiled which was $1,72,345,799.32. At the same time, the scores of the technical and economic evaluations were reported, resulting in the award going to Ininco S.A. having obtained the highest score (979) for their technical and financial proposals combined. The company's offer was $66,595,391.83 representing 6% less than the reference price.

An award has been made in Panama for the design and construction of the Changuinola Almirante-highway and several roads in the province of Bocas del Toro.
The report entitled "Construction Projects in Panama - June 2016", prepared by the Business Intelligence unit at CentralAmericaData. com, contains a list of the main construction contracts awarded in June.
Twenty three companies have expressed interest in participating in the tender to build the El Guabal - Luis Rio - Calovébora highway in the province of Veraguas.

Contracts for $922 million were awarded to five companies for expanding and renovating 185 kilometers of the Inter American Highway.
The value of the works has exceeded the estimate made by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of $750 million. The construction company Norberto Odebrecht was awarded 71.24 kilometers from Santiago- Vigui.
Ten construction companies and nine service companies attended the pre tender meeting for establishing the specifications for the expansion to four lanes of the Inter American Highway from Veraguas to Viguí.
Prensa.com reports: "This is the first of five sections that the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) is putting out to tender in order to complete the widening to four lanes of the highway between David and Santiago".
