Road Work Awarded for $71 Million

Puentes y Calzadas Infraestructuras S.L.U. was awarded the contract to design and build a vehicular passage and road interchange on the Cabuya roundabout in the Panama province.

On February 5, the resolution of the contracting process for the "Design and Construction of the Paso Vehicular and Intercambiador Vial José Agustín Arango (Cabuya) -CPA- December 24" was published in the portal PanamaCompra."

Puentes y Calzadas Infraestructuras S.L.U., winner of the tender, submitted a $70.9 million proposal in this public purchase that initially had a reference value of $67.5 million.

The other proposals presented were that of Constructora Meco, which totaled $69.9 million, and that of Constructora de Infraestructura Internacional S.A., which was $74.3 million.

The project consists of the construction of a road interchange over the Cabuya roundabout and another road interchange at the intersection of Avenida José Agustín Arango with the CPA, in addition, the rehabilitation and widening to four (4) lanes of Avenida José Agustín Arango, construction of three (3) pedestrian bridges, roundabout, rehabilitation of streets, and other specified works, with the purpose of improving the vehicular and pedestrian flow in the area, however, the Tenderer Entity may determine works that within the execution of the work in the field are detected as required, that have not been defined in the terms of reference and plans.

$66 Million Tender for Road Work Postponed

The submission of proposals for the design and construction of a vehicular walkway and road interchange on the Cabuya roundabout in the province of Panama was postponed until November 30th.

The Ministry of Public Works decided to change from October 30th to November 30th, the deadline to receive proposals for the road work with a reference value of $66.0570.156.
