$6 million investment for Panama airport

The tender for the improvement project at the Marcos A. Gelabert Airport at Albrook will be opened next week.

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

Gregorio Montecer, advisory at the Civil Aeronautics Authority, reported.

Martesfinanciero.com reports "The investment will be $2 million by the State while the private sector will invest an additional $4 million in the construction of hangars.

The improvement plan for the airport installation at Albrook, said the adviser, will begin with the expansion of hangar zone, and a new taxiway, which connects the platforms and hangers with the runway. "We are calling it new because the intensity of operations at Albrook required the construction of another taxiway to allow for faster circulation of the planes," he explained.
