$30 million for Maternity Hospital in El Salvador

The minister of health made the announcement for companies interested in the construction to take part in the in the pre-qualification process.

Elsalvador.com reports: "After sorting through the obstacles, the Ministry of Health plans to have the process ready for the new administration that will take over in June, so that they will only have to execute the project. According to official estimates, the construction will last two years, and will have a cost of approximately $30 million."

The government of El Salvador is still facing problems with the Maternity Hospital. Although it may be third time lucky for the Boulevard Diego de Holguín Tender ($ 30 million) , the conditions of the tender have been found to be inadequate.

On this occasion, it was hoped that the process would end in success, because so far there had been no negative comments about it, as explained by representatives of the Salvadoran Chamber of Construction (CASALCO).

Awards for Works on Salvadoran hospital

Earthworks and supervision services for the construction of a Maternity Hospital have been awarded by the Ministry of Health.

The schedule of works and services tendered includes earthworks, construction phase one, construction phase two, and monitoring services.

The company Corten, S.A. de C.V. was awarded $970 000 for carrying out the earth works.
