15 Companies After Guatemalan Oil Fields
Executives from 15 international companies participated in the briefing of new bidding areas.

Tradex, Perenco, Tenseco Energy Corporation y Odebrecht are among the companies showing interest.
Without disclosing the name of the company, the Ministry of Energy and Mines has announced that they have awarded a contract for exploration and exploitation of oil in Petén.
Representatives from 45 companies attended a presentation about the oil areas that Guatemala will put out to tender.
The new Minister of Energy and Mines intends to encourage the development of the mining sector in order to reach 50 thousand barrels per day.
The Ministry of Energy and Mines in Guatemala is receiving the fee of $25,000 which enables bidders to take part in the tender for the concession of oil operations in 7 different areas.
