KIO Networks Opens Shop in Panama

The Mexican technology company has invest about $30 million to build its first Technology Campus and Computer Centers in Panama.

A press release states:

“KIO Networks said their aim is to strengthen strategy and expand its outsourcing services into new locations, as well as making a commitment to increase competitiveness and efficiency for its customers.

In a symbolic act marking the start of construction, KIO Networks laid the foundation stone in Panama where the first campus technology in Latin America will be.

The event was attended by the President of Panama, Ricardo Martinelli Berrocal, as well as KIO’s business partners and personalities from private industry and the government of Panama.

The new complex of KIO data centers will be located in the new Panama Pacific region, also known as the "Business Center of the Americas" and is now the main center where major investment opportunities are generated."

Dos Pinos already has US$12.5 million of investment in Guatemala, where it sells 80,000 liters of milk a day, but it aims to boost its presence by reaching accords with local companies, said Dos Pinos manager Jorge Pattoni.
