Dunkin' Donuts Opens New Store in Guatemala

It is the chain’s fourth point of sale in the country, and is located in Zone 9 of Guatemala City.

The franchise originally from North America has has a worldwide presence for over 60 years.

In Guatemala, the brand is operated by the Honduran group Intur, and opened its first store in May of this year.

Panama: Restaurant Supply Growing

The US company DineEquity Inc. has announced the opening of its first restaurant in Panama City, and plans to open four other establishments in the next five years.

The restaurant is the first of five locations planned for Panama within the next five years under an agreement with franchisee Collins Restaurant Group, Inc.

New Fast Food Chain in Panama

The US fast food company Wingstop has announced that through a franchise 30 stores will be opened in Panama and Colombia, starting from 2017.

Guatemalan Food Businesses Looking To Expand

Food chains in Guatemala are entrenched in the country and are counting on regional growth via the franchising model.

The president of the Guatemalan Union of restaurants, Salvador Contreras, said the sale of franchises is the engine that will drive expansion.

Some of the Guatemalan chains that are already selling franchises abroad are Al Macarone, Los Cebollines and Pollolandia among others.
